https://www.facebook.com/dlawlesshardware/ this is and excellent source for all types of hardware for doors cabinets and everything inbetween.
Researching online, I have not been able to find any source. I assume that they were custom and exclusive to either the door or lockset manufacturer. The lockset in the photo seems to have been replaced. The plates seem to be in good condition. Is there a reason why you want to change them?!
yes, I tried everything to polish and nothing works, they look old and filty
They look mid-century modern brass to me - what year is your home? Did you try Brasso and baking soda to clean with an old toothbrush?
Try white tooth paste and a damp tooth brush. I use this on brass, copper, silver, gold, and jewelry I sell on Ebay. The other choice would be to remove them and spray paint them with metal paint.
Agreed with William
thank you, it sounds really easy, I hope I can find the paint an will do it.
thanks again,

looks like Nice Patina on unlacquered raw-living Brass.
Newer knobs don't compliment this entry.
Spray paint brass plates? Or shop for unlacquered brass knobs, black or oil-rubbed bronze knobs might even be a better look.
These are really pretty, if you find out where to get them please let us know
Suggest you go to a shop where they do laser cutting. These are absolutely stunning. You should be able to find a local machine shop to do it. I would then coat metal to prevent rust. Suggest you ask machine to make a recommendation or perhaps to coat them for you. They get coating in large containers and would likely work better than what the hardware store could offer.
Have u tried Restoration Hardware? Or even Oriental Trading (on line)
and possibly an oriental furniture shop
Try houseofantiquehardware.com . They have lots of door knob plates.
There are lots of places online where you can find all kinds of stuff like this. Van Dykes ,Restoration Hardware amongst others. Try a Google search too.
google Asian door escutcheon or 8" door escutcheon That's what those are called. Hope that helps. But I would clean them well and then spray with clear coat
Unless there is a problem we can't see and you didn't share, I would just clean them.

Ha! GMTA
Lee valley hardware might have something that would work.
This vendor has the complementary pieces.

if it helps I believe they're ming in style
I recently saw something similar to these on Hobby Lobby's online site. You might check there.
Check Lee Valley. I've dealt with them a long time. Good quality. Check them out online. You can call for a catalog. Shipping is reasonable. Good hunting!
Your door hardware is striking and makes a statement on those large double doors! Can the back plates be cleaned of all marks/smudges and then resealed with lacquer? Someone else mentioned that the door knobs are shinier than the hardware - can you find knobs to match or ?possibly? go with black ones? In any event, you have a beautiful entry.
