Garden Planter

by Whitley WoodWorks
This is a pair of planters I made for a friend for her Birthday.....
My friend's Birthday was coming up and I knew how much she loved her garden. I thought that she would like these.....
I started by cutting all the parts on the table saw at the same time. It is a homemade saw... :)
The legs cut and ready to go...
Starting the assembly. There isn't any dimensions to this build as the tubs you use inside these for the plants come in all shapes and sizes. I just worked out the dimensions for the build once I knew what size tub I wanted to use.
The plastic tubs fit just right.... :)
The legs are now attached.... Now let's make covers for the ends.....
There all done. I made in total 4 large hearts and 4 medium ones. Stained everything in dark oak, 4 coats apart from the smaller heart that is stained in Antique pine .....I let it all dry then applied 4 coats of quick Dry Exterior Varnish....... Two Days later she had them for her Birthday and she told me that they are to good for her garden. She now has them in her kitchen and she keeps all her potatoes and veggies in them.... Oh Bless her :)
