    Energy Star appliances are always a good choice. Recycle materials for counter tops are prevelent. Recycled glass backsplashes are available. All wood cabinets purchased locally are a great option.

    Check Habitat ReStores for used building materials. Any reused material is green, even old-growth wood, etc.
