I washed my coat with fur around it, and it got all sticky. think I put to much fabric conditioner in the machine. Any ideas how I can get it out?

Try re-washing the coat with white vinegar in lieu of soap.

I never use fabric softener-it can be bad all around for fabric. I use white vinegar in the rinse and it works fine. You can also make pieces of fabric-old T-shrts cut up are great-into dryer sheets. keep them in a soak of white vinegar and a few drops of an essential oil you like (I like lavender) and throw one in the dryer. Any thing that has a lid will do to keep them in.

I also don't use fabric softener. I agree with Janet and Kathleen. Use 1/4 cup of vinegar and wash in cold water setting. A few squirts of Dawn dish liquid would help break down the fabric softener. Otherwise you may need to take it to a dry cleaner.

Try brushing out with a dog brush

Did you read the washing instruction on the label? It might need to be dry cleaned or handwashed only.

The fur on your coat makes me think it should be drycleaned.
