You can buy a product called Goo Gone at most hardware stores. A carpet cleaner friend of mine actually puts it in a generic spay bottle to remove stains from carpets. I use this product for everything but the most memorable was removing fingernail polish from my purple dress nylon rain coat. My dry cleaner friend tipped me off to this product. I have been using it for over 20 years.

I saw Chris and Heidi Powell use hairspray on nail polish that was spilled on carpet. They went on Facebook Live video asking people for help! They sprayed the area and placed a rag over it and let it absorb into the cloth and keep doing it til the stain is out. Not sure if it would work on stain. But, if you have left over pieces of carpet, test various methods because depending on your carpet fibers, it can bleach carpet.

Shout works great too. I spilled some paint on my carpet when it was new and it took it out.
