What is the best way to clean oven racks?

soak in the bath tub with ammonia and dawn dish soap the grease will melt off. Let soak for an hour more or less depending on how grimy they are!,,,,!!!then wash off with a rag or scrubby.

TAKE THEM TO YOUR FRIENDS HOUSE THAT HAS A SELF CLEANING OVEN

Ha Ha Ha! I have a self cleaning oven but I have never tried cleaning the racks when I clean the oven.......have you?

remove racks from oven, put each rack in it's own plastic garbage bag. spray rack with oven cleaner. let sit overnight. rinse the next morning.

For standard cleaning, use a soapy sponge and hot water to wipe the racks. For stubborn messes, soak oven racks in hot water, dish soap, and a couple scoops of baking soda. Let the racks soak in this mixture for 15 to 30 minutes before scrubbing clean with a soft sponge.
