Can I repair the Formica on my kitchen table?

I love my kitchen table and would like to bring the Formica somewhat back to looking finished and covering the little dings and scratches. I would like white like it is now. Can it be done?

How to redo Formica counters/backdrop
There's a product called Gel-Gloss it is a one step cleaner and polish . I bought it at Home Depot.
There is also a product called formica rescue, that does a nice job.
