How to schedule a remodeling project?

The flooring for sure.

Install the flooring first, then the vanity. If this was a gut job, flooring would go in last. Some people will install the vanity first, then the flooring to save money on flooring that gets covered any way and not be seen. For kitchen remodels, which are major, the cabinets go in first and flooring always last as with all major remodels.

Having done two remodels on bathrooms the floor has been installed first which to me would be common sense as the vanity would not be level

Remove baseboards, install new tub or shower, add tile, paint the walls, install the flooring, then the vanity, and toilet - if doing all of them.

I gutted out my guest bathroom. Floor went down first. Did a shower only, instead of shower & tub. Bought a tall end table & converted it into a sink vanity with a vessel sink from Lowe's & copper bronze faucet from signature hardware. And bought a beautiful antique mirror for above the sink mirror. Used ceramic tile on floor. Came out beautiful. Very happy with it. Bought lighting, tolet & tile from lowes as well.

I've done a similar remodel.

Floor first, then vanity. This way, your new vanity will sit on top of your new flooring with no issues. It's also a lot easier. If you have to cut out around a vanity (if you put that in first), it takes a lot more labor to get it done right and looking good.
