Tip: Cleaning Blocks and Other Toys

I have put them in a mesh bag and put them in the dishwasher. Same with other small and plastic toys.

Anyone else done this? Other ideas?

The mesh-bag-in-dishwasher-upper-rack technique proved to be an awesomely effective, efficient way to thoroughly clean my adult children's long-saved 1980s vintage plastic toys before sending passing them on to new grandchildren. Highly recommend!!

I use this trick to clean old jewelry that I buy vintage. Usually, I am just after the beds so a good wash is easy in the dishwasher.

I have also put them in a bag with a load of bath towels. Always make sure that they are throughly dry inside before reusing.

I had an old sewing box carry case (The hard plastic style) and it looked awful. I took the lid and put in the dish washer and it came out like new...I Have also done hats in the dishwasher cause they don't get mashed up.
