    You cannot go wrong with the cabbage palm (sabal palmetto), Florida's state tree, Jim. It is salt- and drought-tolerant and adaptable to most kinds of soil. And, unlike many palms, it will handle the low winter temperatures you can have in Lady Lake with aplomb.
