How can I clean these marks off of my wallpaper?

Over the years, my bathroom wallpaper has developed brown spots in places where the adhesive must have not been removed completely. The wallpaper itself is still in perfect condition, so I don't want to remove it. Any ideas?

Either the walls weren't properly prepped for wallpaper or the spots are actually mildew from moisture. You can try some mixture of one cup of vinegar to one gallon of water and wash the spots. You can also try hydrogen peroxide in place of vinegar. If the spots don't wash off, then the wallpaper would need to be removed. Walls washed and primed then repapered. Or you can prime and paint over the wallpaper.

I have a feeling your first thought is the right one here. I don't remember the person who did the papering priming the walls first. I'll try your other suggestions first. Thanks so much.

Silly putty was created for cleaning wall paper. It evolved into a to for children due to less people using wall paper. So get some silly putty and try it.
