Handmade French Christmas Postcard Ornaments

Creating French Christmas postcard ornaments form leftover fabric scraps.
These little ornaments were made by printing a french Christmas postcard image directly onto fabric with my printer. I ironed a piece of freezer paper onto my piece of fabric and then cut it to an 8.5"x11" size and placed it in the paper tray of my printer. Make sure the fabric side is facing the correct way so that it prints onto the fabric and not the freezer paper.
Once the images were printed onto the fabric, I trimmed them to postcard size. I also cut pieces of red ticking and tan ticking fabric the same size, to use as backing for the ornaments.
I also cut batting a little smaller than the fabric pieces to use as filler inside of the ornaments.
Before sewing the ornaments together, I added a piece of twine as a hanger.
Lastly, the ornaments were sewn together around the edge. You could also use an iron on adhesive between the fabrics if you do not sew.
