I'd like help finding affordable gel stain options

I am wanting to try gel stain and found it very expensive. what would be recommended as the most versatile and inexpensive?

Did you try ebay? I often find supplies that I need there that someone maybe brought but didn't use or changed their mind about. (just check the seller's ratings first)

Try Amazon, Home Depot & Brother Site Lowes. Use Goupons & get it cheaper.

I just stained my railing with a gel stain after sanding. I used MinWax Gel Stain in the color walnut. After staining I used a polyacrylic top coat. Looks very nice.
