Tip: Cleaning baseboards

Use a dryer sheet. It cleans and coats the baseboards to keep them clean longer. Anyone else have baseboard cleaning tips?

do you use them dry or with them being damp?
If there is a lot of dust build up, like after a construction remodel in the house use slightly damp. If just general dusting use dry.
It coats them? With what? This is so helpful!
It coats the baseboards with the fabric softener, also adds a nice scent to the room.
I use a old fashion sponge mop (from the dollar store) dry and run it across the baseboards, gets the dust off before I vacuum or wash the floor
