Tip: Keep Your Sheets Clean and Fresh In Between Changing

I love this tip and have been doing it for years. I use a lint roller to clean my sheets each day before I make my bed. You will be amazed at what it picks up.
If my sheet do not feel fresh and clean, I just can’t have a good night’s sleep! I generally change them twice a week, but I’ve learned a trick that makes my sheets feel fresh and clean in between changing. I’ve used this household hack forever, and it’s one of my favorites.
Speaking of sheets, I used to buy mine at department stores until I discovered TJ Max! I can always find good designer sheets for less than half of what I paid in department stores :)
OK, so back to my household hack!
It’s a simple trick that should take no longer than 3 minutes to do. It’s an Evercare giant lint roller! Well, it doesn’t have to be by Evercare – any lint roller will do. I like the giant one as it covers more area and you get done faster.
Simple! All you do is roll it across your sheets
Yuck and sorry for the nasty image, but I had to show you because I just changed my sheets yesterday and even still – this is what I rolled off! Now, given the fact that my hubby is extremely hairy, I chose not to show you what I rolled off his side lol. It was like a fur ball! And this was just one night after I changed my sheets!

This is a wonderful idea! We discovered it by accident several years ago. We both have bad allergies & I was desperate to remove all lint from our pillow cases and sheets, so I tried the lint roller. I was amazed at how much it picked up!! No more sneezing since we've been using the lint roller. It works well on lamp shades, curtains, blinds, and upholstered furniture, too. Thanks for sharing!!

Thank you, Liz! But, we are on the best (east) side of Washington! The one with 350 days of sunshine, and lots of room to breathe! Lol! We grow apples, apricots, barley, cherries, grapes, hay, hops, lentils, peaches, potatoes, wheat, etc. So, allergies abound! I had no idea about the allery-prone folks in western Washington. Man! Sinus infections form mold. How awful!

I use a dust buster all over the sheets and even the comforter. I have a little dog who thinks that bed is her nap place so I have to get the hair and dander off the bed everyday. You are right about not wanting to get into a "gritty" bed at night!

  • Love this idea! Great share, thanks!

Umm....question..... Would you please come to my house and change the sheets twice a week? (I promise to love you forever if you would)! (((((Carolann)))))

I know how you feel, I ask my Dr. the same question. She said she had patients in their 90s that still had hot flashes:( I am 60 now and they have finally slowed down a lot and I have only minor ones so there is hope.

LOL, Naomie, 55? Pffft! Mom Nature is just telling you you're still one of her 'girls' and doesn't want you to forget it ...yet! We are mysteries to men, (none of whom have a clue...and isn't that a giggle now and again!), and occasionally, to ourselves, but she knows what is necessary and we can trust her.

….(13) For You formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb. (14) I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; …

That's you, sweetie! This 'tween' season will pass, and be replaced with a new and more comfortable one for you. Perhaps spend time preparing for your new freedoms by gathering your Bucket List in an attractive blank book; you'll be needing it before you know it, then....LOOK OUT, WORLD!

I have O.C.D. and have been using these sticky rollers for decades. Couch , chairs, bed linens, sewing room lint, yarn lint when crocheting, you name it! Can't stand lint , dust , hair ,fur, exfoliated skin cells! Huh? Yes, I'm crazy.
