Lighter fluid is also awesome in removing stamps from envelopes. After they are soaked, simply lift them off and put on another envelope and they should just dry and stay right where you put them.

If candles are in jars I just use very hot water over the bottom of my them and then using a butter knife I just pry the side a bit and the left over wax usually just pops out.

I love the freezer idea and have used it for years on candle jars, but all of a sudden a lightbulb went off!! I have a tablecloth that had a massive wax spill on it and I have put it in a drawer until I could figure out what to do with it...DOH! Gonna put it in the freezer and see what happens. Pretty sure I am going to have to iron out the part where the candle 'juice' soaked in, but at least I can get the bulk out by freezing it. Thanks for the lightbulb moment!

lighter fluid - you may have staining from tge colorant in the candle and lighter fluid will break down the traces of wax left in your fabric but be sure to remove this with shout and ir soap and water.

For candle wax on carpet and sofa: I placed paper towel over wax and used a warm iron on stain. Warm iron will melt wax. Paper towel will soak it up. Repeat with fresh paper towels until wax is gone. Use coolest iron setting that will still melt wax.
