Did you know you can clean things with Coke? It's great for removing rust and hard water stains on your toilet!

  I live in Southern Oregon and have very hard water which causes serious hard water/calcium buildups around the water line in our toilets. And those lines will stain from waste. I tried using cleanser, vinegar, CLR, Lime Away, AND Coca Cola-----none of this worked I hate to say. The only thing that works for us is a good old fashioned pumice stone. I found a cleaning pumice stone with a handle in a catalog for about $3.00. I pull up a stool, put on a glove and use that stone on the ring for about 10 minutes. Results are clean and the odor that clings to the ring is gone too. I have to do this about every 3-4 months. If you find anything better I sure would love to know about it, I'm up for trying anything!

  Have you tried vinegar - just pour it in the stool & let it stay for a couple of hours.

I used Coca Cola to clean the chrome on my car back in the day when they put it on cars. Also cleans the gunk from windshield wipers.
