Do any of you hometalkers have experience growing sweet mint - an herb - in a hanging basket?

How big a basket is needed? Neighborhood cats have been eating some I planted in

a planter.

Thomas, I grow Mint in containers. It a herb I use very often and love to throw a handful in my dishes. They are best grown in containers since they spread very fast. The best things as you said is to hang them and keep them away from the cats. They need well drained soil with 6 hours of sunlight.
