Can you get a hydrangea to bloom indoors, and if so what time of year?

Here's a wealth of posts about Hydrangea care, good luck! ( I love hydrangeas, they're one of my favorite flowers) http://www.hometalk.com/categories/gardening-landscaping/plant-care/hydrangeas

I kept one inside last winter; all I did was place in front of the window and water weekly. After it became acclimated to indoors it sprouted new leaves and had several blooms thru the cold/dreary months.

Thank you so much for the information.

I have had a large plant inside for 2 months and it has lost all its leaves. I keep it in the sun often and water as needed. I appreciate all the information you have sent me.

Don't know about where you live, but down under here in New Zealand we have specially breed indoor Hydrangeas that you can buy, and they flower freely inside the house surely you can get them in the USA?
