Tip: Cleaning With a Dryer Sheet

I put one in all my clothes drawers, sheet/towel shelves, storage bags, suitcases/carry bags, and one under my fitted sheets near pillows. (more than one is often overkill for any one spot) Thought of shoes, but mine get plenty of fresh air and might be too much aftermath when they warm up in wear.

I also use the in the car! I also hang one on the coat hanger of my shirts.

You should look into the number of cancer causing chemicals that are in dryer sheets. Those chemicals get absorbed into your skin from your clothing when you perspire. Fragrance oils that are being used are now considered just as toxic as second hand smoke. Just make your own non toxic scented "sheets" for your dryer with PURE Essential Oils on washcloths or on wool balls. (*Don't buy Fragrance oils. There is a huge difference!) You can make anything smell good by putting a few drops of an EO on a cotton ball or a tissue and tuck them into places you want to smell good without the worry. If you're using dryer sheets to control static, just don't over dry your clothes. That's where the static comes from. I really just want everyone to be aware of the toxins they're exposing themselves and their children to so you can find natural alternatives, and live healthier. since you use this to keep mice out of the car and camper, can they also be used to keep them out of your house?

Mice?? I don't know. Never tried.

I put them in my cars while we are away for the winter months and haven't had a mouse since! I also put one in my furnace vents to make the house smell nice when the furnace or a/c comes on. Change every 20 to 30 days. Take the old ones and shine your chrome fixtures on the sinks. The BEST use is to dampen them and wipe the bugs off your car...no rubbing, no scrubbing. They seriously just wipe right off! (but don't use on your car windows...that is an epic fail)

thank you for pointing this out. i get a headache from just walking past my neighbor's house and smelling those dryer sheet chemicals. BUT as a beekeeper, we notice that if we are trying to work on our frames, away from the bees......that the bouncy sheets keep them away as well. But for goodness sakes, don't use it "to smell good"....

I read you can use these to clean up burnt on food in your cook ware. Not to be used in cast iron of course but suppose to be great in stainless steel. Letting it soak for an hour for easy clean up....

Dryer sheets contain something like wax and this will clog up the lint screen of the dryer. Thus if you have used them for a while, you will find you can't pass water through the screen--although it looks like it should!
