DIY Gallery Style Cube Wall Shelves

Do you have little objects you want to display stylishly? Try this fast, inexpensive and easy way to display things! All how-to details are in the blog post link below the photos.
It's really simple to make these little cube wall shelves. You can make them look elegant or cute - depends on color you use. You could even decoupage them with papers.
I used wood "bags" found at Hobby Lobby for $1.99 each. I call them bags because they had little twine handles attached to them. Anyway, look for a cube with one open side.
Cut the handle off. Fill the holes with spackling or wood filler.
Paint your cubes any color you want. I used metallic gold to contrast with the dark wood. If your object has a wide enough bottom, you can glue your object to the cube without those little "sticks." My blog post explains the sticks...
To attach the cube to the wall, use an L-bracket like this. Nail or screw the L-bracket to the wall. Glue your cube to the top of the L-bracket that's sticking out from the wall. My blog post has tips for what size L-bracket to use.
