Holiday House Tour - Kitchen

Hi and welcome to our Kitchen all dressed up for Christmas. They say the kitchen is the “Hub of the Home” so I like to decorate it for the holidays just as much as the rest of our home. If you’re new here, our home is 92 years old and our kitchen is a tiny galley style kitchen with this cute little kitchen nook. The chandelier was a gift from my brother and his wife. When they bought there home years ago it was in their dining room and they hated it. When he said “Do you want it” I jumped up and down. Somehow I have fallen in love with Gingerbread and that whole Gingerbread theme so that’s what has taken over my kitchen during the holidays. Whatever your style is, you can find great things throughout the year at Thrift stores. Just keep your eyes open and you’ll be surprised at the incredible deals you’ll find. Who wants Christmas in April right?? You do. You’ll even find things now as people are cleaning out as they are decorating. It’s always fun to set a pretty table. I made these Pottery Barn inspired napkins, for under $1 and I’ll show you how if you like. I like to have a Hot Cocoa Station this time of year. It makes it nice and easy for my daughter and her friends. Ok, who am I kidding, I like hot cocoa too and seem to enjoy it about 4:00 lately…lol. We don’t have lots of counter space so we keep it pretty simple here. I do LOVE candles so this tray get’s pulled out near the end of the counter at night which is right near our tv den and my hubs and I can have a little candlelight too. I took $1 store Oven Mitts and Pot Holders and embellished them with this cute ticking stripe for gifts and I’ll show you how too. The Gingerbread cookie Jar is so festive and happy, which I need someone like that greeting me in the morning sometimes. If you’d like to continue on and tour the rest of our home come on over to the blog. I hope you enjoyed your visit here. Wish you lived close by and we could have coffee together. Are you done with your decorating?? Let me know your favorite Christmas décor in the comments below. Have a great day and thanks so much for stopping by, Lisa
