Dicken's Style Christmas Lamp Post

I found this 1970's looking wooden candle stand that resembles a Dicken's style lamp post (at least in my eyes) at a local thrift store over the summer.
It was the typical golden brown stained wood & it stands about 4 ft. tall, so it's a nice height to be realistic. I painted it black, added some decorations and this is how it turned out!
To read more about it & see some close-up photos go to: http://kabamfamily.blogspot.com/2013/12/a-dickens-christmas-lamp-post.html
Started out with a thrift store golden wood stained candle stand.

@Beth M I know what you mean. I waited days to get a bright photo of my mailbox...it is sooo cute...some of the flowers have glitter...but the cloudy days makes for ugly photos! Oh well. It is almost 9 AM here and it looks like dawn is just breaking!
