If you are unsure, I would hire a contractor to check.
Definitely, do not start without knowing for sure. My husband and son are contractors and have seen way too many unprofessionals taking down a bearing wall and it has caused major problems.
Let me repeat what Donna is telling you. Please, please get a contractor if you are not sure. My son-in-law is an architect and contractor, when I needed this problem and others answered I call him and I have learned from some of his clients who didn't call first and the money pits they created by not calling.
Don't guess about this. Hire someone.
The Attic tells a lot. Even when you find out if it is load bearing or not, when you are the contractor are in the attic make sure there are no wires or plumbing going through this wall you are taking down. Older homes can have very annoying discoveries.
