Stenciled Christmas Tree Ornaments

You can do two totally different looks on these flat ornaments with different stencils and paint colors on each side!
It's so easy. Paint a base coat of color and then stencil away with a different color on your ornaments! Here I used gold and bronze metallic paints.
These patterns really pop on my tree!
The ornaments "before." Plain unfinished paper mache. Their flat surfaces are easy to stencil.
Your stencil will very likely be bigger than the ornaments. Not a problem!
Just slide the ornament under an area of the stencil. You can center the pattern or make the pattern abstract and off-center.
Here's the result! Pretty cool!
Here's the flip side of the ornament in the previous picture. You can get two totally different looks in one ornament.

I'm a little late on this one, but the idea can be adapted to hearts for valentine's day. To make the ornaments even more economical, if you have a Sizzix Big Shot, use your dies to cut corrugated cardboard shapes. If you're as big an Amazon shopper as I am, you're sure to have plenty of cardboard boxes to use. If you're not, pick some empties up at the grocery store.
