Mix a solution of 10% bleach to water, dab the stain lightly with a rag or brush, and watch it disappear before your eyes! So handy, simple, and inexpensive! Other option would be to paint the stain with a stain blocking primer. Make sure you solved what caused the stain also.

I tried Kilz pro-x, three coats, and it did not cover the stains running down the wall. I've never had much luck with Kilz. Yesterday I tried a product new to me called Zinsser Covers Up ($4.98) spray can. It dries flat, quick and did the job. Rechecked again today . . . all is good. Try using Kilz stain blocking primer.

When I had a blemish or scar of any kind on my popcorn ceiling I used the spray snow I had for Christmas trees because of the texture.
Kilz paint will take care of it.
