Painting: These are my kitchen cabinets. What wall color would compliment them?

I'm considering a cool gray. The trim and appls. are white, counter is oatmeal-ish Formica w/ oak trim inset. ...»

I'm also thinking about a white subway tile bkspl, and the undercounter lights are being changed and hard wired, as well as new lt over sink.

Thank you for posting these photos.

Ryegrass from Baer paints. Look at my recent posting on our new room remodel, that's the color.

I think I would go with a medium green. Baer makes a great one called Ryegrass.

Yeah, it's pretty expensive, but we have other projects in mind right now. We need a new roof, ...»
after we remove 3 layers of shingles, and remove the chimney, and we need foundation work as well. Probably should have lit it with a match, but it was inherited, and a family home of my wife's. Kind of a waste of a good home to just torch it...LOL.

Yeah, it kinda sucks, and I am very lucky to be able to work on the home without them. It has ...»
been a disaster in some rooms, but it will come together soon. We still have to raise our foundation about 6" at the front door, it seems over a period of time, the old awning has leaked behind our rock siding, and weakened the foundation blocks and the ground under it....FUN stuff!! Thought about just using dynamite, but the house was free, so, I guess we'll just fix it...LOL

Bathroom addition

Took an open area with an old sink and toilet, and turned it into a very nice full bath. You would have to see the final project in person to get the full effect. Turned out nice! We did ...»
all of this for around $800.00. Did all the work ourselves in 2.5 weeks.

remove the old sink, and toilet, replaced wall studs, removed an old roll out window, new electrical, new walls, etc etc. It was about a 2 week project, but it was well worth the effort and the $$ spent on it. Thanks for the vote of confidence!

Home Maintenance & Repairs: Updating a Dropped Ceiling

I'm renovating a 1979 fixer upper and have a dropped ceiling in the downstairs den. The tiles are probably original and I will eventually replace them with something. Has anyone updated these with another material besides the white tiles & is there anything to do to make this sort of ceiling look better? The tiles now are a little saggy, so I'm sure I'll replace them with new when I can, but thought some of you may have some other ideas? Thanks!
