subscribe to the Phoenix newspaper and water when it rains there...
there are some pots that you can use that are called "olla'. You can make your own by using the large plastic soda bottles. Just drill holes around the sides and make sure that the opening of the bottle is above ground so that you can pour water in it. Hope this helps.
