Keeping It Real Holiday Home Tour

Is your house decked out in holiday cheer? I have seen the most gorgeous home tours around blog land, but they can leave you feeling a little inadequate with a less than perfect home. Today I have my own version to share with you.
It's like Festivus for the Rest of Us! No need to feel inadequate here, join the tour, dog hair, dust bunnies and all.
Entry is warm and inviting, table was recently stripped and restained, using a little bit of a cheater method! http://www.redouxinteriors.com/2013/10/dark-walnut-stained-entry-table-how-to-the-gtc-way/
Bookshelf turned closet organizer gets a festive feel with a few Christmas touches http://www.redouxinteriors.com/2013/11/fake-built-in-bookshelf-from-closet-organizers/
Stairs were recently replaced and trim added. The painting has yet to happen. Chair needs upholstery work. Feeling at home now! Love my festive garland though.
Grown up couch for a grown up room, but it still has a sense of humor.
Cloche filled with Glass balls. Don't look too close, a bunch of them broke! Oh well, just turned it around. It adds to the sparkle!
I see a tree! Star is leaning towards Bethlehem :) Hand made ornaments mixed with meaningful gifts and glass balls.
Junk touches mixed with DIY makes a gorgeous light filled dining room.
Old Junky colander filled with old Glass balls makes a gorgeous centerpiece on my very rustic Farm Plank Dining Table.
Love the view and the tree, but is that dog hair on the couch? Oh well, like I said, this is the keeping it real tour!
Full view of my front room, and dining room. Open the door, you are in most of my home!
Oversized Windowpane bound for the dump is turned into a large chalk board.
View from the front door to the back. On the left, Bench Made entirely out of junk and Cheap bookshelf made from junk! http://www.redouxinteriors.com/2013/03/the-bench-made-entirely-of-junque-garage-doors-and-all/
Found junk turned bookshelf, decked out in hand made touches and lights.
One of the corners of my great room. Home made pillows and benches, plus thrift store table make a cozy spot. Games, crafts and hanging out all happen here.
Cozy corner of the couch, old pillow still good!
The P E A C E stocking holders need to be polished, but I am liking the tarnished look!
This door had a hole kicked in it by an upset little boy years ago. I added a piece of luon and painted it gold, painted the panels gold. No more hole, and my door is dressed up! White Elephant Snow Flake Man hangs on the door.
Love my sink, but it isn't pristine clean! This is to make everyone feel better if they think everyone else's sink looks better!
End of the tour! Come back soon, I cleaned my sink too!
