What can I put in my plastic storage bins with my gingerbread men?

Bugs got in and had little holes all over them. I threw them out but still have a lot of gingerbread pieces that I use to decorate my kitchen during the holidays.

Wrap them bubble wrap and then place them in the bins. The dollar store carries it.

I would treat them as if they were a food product (which they technically are) and place them in sealed food storage bags. Remove all the air from the bags and then place the bagged items in food storage containers. You want to be sure they are airtight in containers

    rather than just wrapped.

I agree, seal tight as if its food

Did they have cinnamon or clove in them? Either of these two spices keeps bugs away. Mint also deters bugs.

Bugs also don't like cedar, put a couple blocks of cedar wood in the storage bin. I do this, I just keep some of the cedar tree branches that blow down each winter. Then when I need some, peel off the bark, and split them open.

Sorry I posted as a comment. Thanks for your input. I'm not sure I want them to smell like cedar.

What is that going to make my gingerbread items smell like. Right now they smell cinnamoney. If that's a word.
