How would you decorate a cake saver?

I have a large clear cake saver..anyone ever decorate with non food items? It takes a lot of space when empty ... any thoughts?

    Turn it into a fairy swimming pool. You could have real or fake plants at the opposite end of the handle with tiny beach accessories. A fairy could be ready to dive off the handle. You could make these using polymer clay or buy them.

    Is it a cake stand w/ cover? Put a plate on it and use it as an every day spice Island. When you need to use it the spices are on a plate for easy removal.

    saw donna dewberry paint floers on one then you put in oven @ 250 degrees let it set and bake the paint on turn off the oven and let it cool down take out and fill it with your favorite cake enjoy!

    If it's a tiered stand or even one with a top, you can store almost anything that will fit. For example: Rolled up napkin, fruit, a plant (will need air), small vintage knick-knacks. In the bedroom for placing pretty jewelry or perfume bottles.

    It's a cake stand you use once in awhile? It states clear cake saver, is it plastic like Rubbermaid or Tupperware? Is it circular or square? If plastic I would use it to store other plastic containers. If glass keep out with goodies if not then maybe as part of tablescape as seasons change. I wouldn't decorate it because hostess wants to see the lovely goody you brought. And it's usually not kept open but rather opened after dinner.
