Shiplap Powder Room

6 Materials
Take a basic powder room and turn it into farmhouse perfection!
Take this slightly dated and dark bathroom (and truth be told, it felt small).
Taking down chair rail is really easy and I lay out the details on my blog post. Once you have a clean slate you decide if you'll start from the top or the bottom (I chose the top).
Once you level the first piece, the rest goes quickly. I used the space of two pennies to make the gaps even between each board (I wanted to use the thickness of just one nickel, but of course I didn't have any that day). Leaving the dark color on the wall brings more depth to the final look.
I used my Air Strike Finishing Nailer to attach the pieces to the studs. Check out my blog post for why I chose to skip the brad nailer.
Here is a sneak peek of the after... Isn't it stunning?! The home owner loves it and I do too!
