Laundry Closet Organization

Our multi-purpose laundry closet is in the heart of our home and has always been a magnet for clutter. I finally took the time to get it organized, and the result is almost unrecognizable!
I’m somebody that doesn’t like doing things halfway – if I spend the time to purge and organize a space, I want it to be DONE…not just a little bit better or halfway to where I want it. I know when I do it that way, it’s just a waste of my time – inevitably in a few weeks or months it will be back to the way it was and I’ll have to do it all over again. So, instead, I just let it get really bad. (Because that’s a good solution, right?)
I am definitely embarrassed to admit that was a closet in my house, let alone to publish that picture. Yikes. Well, I FINALLY got around to tackling this closet recently, and the result is almost unrecognizable!
Ahhh...so much better, don't you think? Head to my blog to see a source list, how I planned and organized the space, and the details on that pretty "Laundry Room" sign that I made myself!
And the best part is, I didn't spend a fortune, and it didn't take me a lot of time. I kept the same wire shelves and bought some bins and baskets to fit them as-is. I came up with storage solutions for all of our laundry items as well as my daughter's art supplies and other miscellaneous items that need a home in this closet. The result is a pretty AND functional organized space!
On my blog, I shared my entire organizational process, two tips for MAINTAINING the organization, and all the sources where I bought the pretty bins and baskets. Click the link below to stop by and read more!
