Should I get sprayers for mineral/chalk paint?

Ok - so I am hemming and hawing over getting a sprayer - I only use chalk/mineral paint - do you have luck using those in a sprayer? Does it save you time? Do your projects come out more professional? I only do this as a hobby but I am thinking it may be a time saver and make my projects look better? Just concerned about clogging issues and if it will be more of a headache than it's worth!?

Hi Mary! I've never used one myself, but from talking with friends, its a really useful tool to have and makes every job go faster. BUT- most models need to be fully filled to work properly ( and not dry out) So if you're doing a small job, it is not worth having to fill the sprayer. Good luck!!

Thanks Hillela! Good point about most of them needing to be fully filled, never thought of that!

ohhh, I have so much to say on this. :) I LOVE my sprayer and recently used it with only about 1/3 cup of paint in the container. In my opinion, overfilling the paint cup makes the sprayer work too hard. Mine is electric and I've probably used upwards of 75 gallons of paint over the years. you can see lots more here: http://www.myrepurposedlife.com/homeright/

It's available online for less than $65.00. Easy to use and can be cleaned in about 4-5 minutes (outside with a garden hose)

Thank you Gail! What type of medium can it handle? Chalk? Stain? I use different mediums and of course I would love a one for all kind of thing LOL - but wouldn't we all! I will definitely check out the link - thank you so much for sharing!!!!
