General cleaning use Murphy's Oil Soap. For dirt and grease build up use 1 cup of vinegar to 1 gallon hot water and a few squirts of Dawn dish liquid. For heavy build up use TSP ( trisodium phosphate).

Murphy's oil soap. if you have to scrub use a plastic scrubby. it should get the grime and not take off the cabinet finish. don't ask me how i know.

I use Cabinet Magic available at Home Depot. It is a cleaner and polisher all in one.

Wow I hate Murphys soap I would try a degreaser since the dust sticks onto the grease not just on cabinets over stove but all since it floats around the air regardless of venting. I would try what was recommended with vinegar since natural and dawn is great in these combination since it cuts through grease as well as vinegar. Be gentle since wood not veneer.
