I'm sharing some tips and tricks for wrapping gifts for the holidays that are non-traditional. I have a rustic themed tree so I decided to use feathers, peacock ribbon and assorted Christmas sprigs to decorate my packages. You can click on my link to see more photos.

I am a non-traditional wrapper also. When my children were small, I color coded their packages...each child assigned a color, but only I knew which got what color. That kind of kept them from snooping because there would be too many wrappings to try to explore. It worked like a charm. Not to mention the positive comments of visitors who got to see the unopened packages.

@Rosalie M What a great idea! I didn't put tags on mine, but I sort of did the same thing. I'm not done wrapping yet, but I joked with my daughter that the surprise factor will be whose gift is whose because I won't remember myself.
