Last month, I teamed up with 5 other bloggers for a quick DIY challenge. We had to make something along the themes of 'organization' in just under 10 mins! I decided to make a kitchen utensil holder from scrap wood and plumbing clips! Here is a picture of how I stored my current utensils .

I dont have many cooking utensils as you can see..... I'm sure im in the minority for that. [On a side note speaking of organizing, I also have a great post on how to DECLUTTER KITCHEN COUNTERS - CLICK HERE TO SEE IT Anyway heres how I made my utensil rack. MATERIALS USED Wood Plumbing pipe clips. Clear polyurethane if you are sealing your wood. Screw driver Small Picture hanging screws Pencil Measuring tape/ruler

HOW TO: I spray painted the copper clips to black!’m not a huge fan of copper decor, but hey each to their own. If you dig the look, leave them as they are by all means!

Here is how it looked with the plumbing clips all in place. Notice I used the larger clips to the left and the smaller ones to the right.

All that was needed was to attach it to the tile in my kitchen!

I found a great product that allowed me to attach the rack to the wall without causing any damage at all (I rent) - see my blog link below for all the details on this! Here is my beauty shot! What do you think? Will you be trying this?

My utensils are very functional but dont all match (I pretty much would lay odds that most people's don't). I wouldnt ever make a display to show them off unless they all matched and were pretty even then, I've never seen a display with them and doubt I ever will. Im not knocking your ingenuity but in the practicality? Dont stop sharing seriously I need people like you to help me get my house in order.

How did you adhere the wood to the tiles? I rent too. Thanks!

I wouldn’t mind the “worn” pieces. My kitchen has raised 6kids and two adults, yes we count too. How could you access utensils if you have cabinets or stove hood above wall space?
