Most seed packets have a chart on the back, as do free seed catalogs, Farmer's Almanac, and online. I personally believe you'd do better to go talk to local nursery workers and garden professionals to find out what grows best in your area. Most of the zone charts were done years ago, and zones have changed. Many plants, and even animals are being found further north than ever, so don't be too rigid in sticking to the zones. Also, almost every garden has micro-climates, affected by exposure, shade, windbreaks, etc. A bright, sunny, sheltered spot might be able to grow plants that aren't in your zone.

      1. Whom Ever replied to Burpee.Com, Love there Products also. As well DIY, Deborah, with Home & Family Show Daytimes, she's The Foodie Gardner, Thanks to her, I start my Herb Seedlings, using Rock Wool, Cubes, there is in the middle a small area, to drop whatever seedlings into, then place into A To Go Container from your favorite Restraurant or Eatery places, The Container's are SO WONDERFUL, for the littlest of Green Houses, black plastic, with a clear top, I get all my supplies, from a Hydropontic Store, in Casselberry, FL called Sunshine, corner of 436 an just before the corner of 17-92. All of their's are grown just using water. If in area check it out, it's amazing. That's where I get Rock Wool, before seedlings go into cubes, I soak all in water, several hours or thru night, put seeds in, cover an watch what happens within days!~~~
