Just make sure if you are painting vinyl siding you do not go much darker than the original siding, because it will absorb more heat from the sun and can warp the siding!

Also, be sure not to cover up any venting in the siding. If you look under the edge of most siding you will see "weep holes" that allow any moisture or condensation to drain away and not trap it between the sheathing and siding.
