Tip: Reuse Old ironing boards

I use mine for a craft table that folds up. Just find a good piece of plywood and drill several holes that match the ones in the ironing board. Countersink the screws and secure underneath. I rounded the corners for sharp edges. It adjusts to your own height and folds up for space saving and best of all it's portable. I used mine for gift wrapping at Christmas. Any other uses for ironing boards?

    I love this!!!!!!

  • I cover mine with a tablecloth and use it for food at parties- works great for snacks and desserts. Fits in small spaces. Also used it for a kids table.

I love this idea! I do need a new iron board, so the old one will get a new

top and be used as a sewing table, or project table.

Another idea: Nail it somehow in to the kitchen wall and bring it on down for a cutting board or serving tray. I may try this myself?????? Mine is all wood. Hummmmmm.??????

I passed up one at my favorite junk store - now he's closed :-( (Cancer - prayers for Dave would be great).

I keep an old ironing board in my garage as a portable crafting table. I mostly haul it outside and spray paint on it, but also use it for different projects. It's great because it's at a good height, easy to store and easy to move.

I use my vintage wood ironing table as a console table behind the couch. Accessorized with a slim lamp, framed photos, and a carved duck, it brings some funk to my room.

I made mine into a quilting ironing board! Put a piece of 4 X 8 on the top and screwed it to the old one. Covered it and I can put big quilts or large pieces of fabric on it and iron easily

I use one as a station to fold clothes. Better than the couch or bed or dining table - at least for my bad back.
