Luggage End Table DIY

End table for a travel-themed nursery, but this project is so versatile.
Before
I bought a 3 piece hard luggage set from a local Facebook resale site for $20.00 and a small end table from Wal-Mart for $12.97.
After thoroughly cleaning the luggage I placed Blue Tape on the metal parts that I wanted to protect.
I picked up these 3 spray paints from Wal-Mart for under $10.00 (rust-oleum satin coverage). There are SO many colors you can use for this project. I went with colors to match the nursery theme.
Let the painting begin!
I really wanted to do some easy lighting for the underside to I used thumb tacks to place leftover Christmas lights on the underside of the end table.
I got a little creative and made this design out of 2 paper doilies. The possibilities are endless here. I stuck this on with Elmer's glue just in case I wanted to change it up in the future.
I painted all 3 suitcases and stacked them on the end table in the nursery. I didn't glue them down because I may use them for other projects in the future.
After
The final result: decor that I can use for storage and re-purpose in the future!

Adorable. Your little girl is so blessed to have a wonderfully creative mommy. I'll never look at old suitcases the same way again.

you can attach them with two belts then you won't worry about them coming apart and falling. Looks cute too, and you could spray the belts.
