Anyone try acrylic on their floor. Some artsy ideas?

The floorboards are wood and you can see grain. I would like something different, something creative. Any ideas

It works just fine if you clean and abrade the floor, and use a really good primer, letting everything dry well or overnight between coats. Use a top quality acrylic paint. Once you are happy with the coverage of the acrylic paint. The let that dry well, and seal with a top notch water based acrylic sealer. I'd do two coats, letting dry well between coats.
I have several rental properties with painted pine 1x6 pine flooring circa 1920. Pine is soft. I find the paint does not hold up well. I'm a restored floor kind of girl and am slowly working my way through the houses sanding and polyurethaning the pine floors.....
