Small bathroom needs paint job to cozy it up- help!

Hey homeimprovers! I live in a basement level apartment, and my bathroom is teensy with only a 7ft tall ceiling, making it feel very claustrophobic. After scanning through many articles I've decided to paint the walls and ceiling the same color and make an accent wall opposite the toilet so it pops. My question is - what would go best with the glass shower & dark floor tile?

What color is the dark floor tile? Depending in the color you can look at light shades in a similar color. Since your bathroom is very small I wouldn't do an accent wall. It may make that wall stand out too much and pull the room in more. also an accent wall in a small bathroom will give you too many places for your eyes to go and make it look smaller. I would stick with keeping all four walls the same color. Use towels and other pieces as your accents.

Depending on how dark your tile is and being that you said the room is small, I agree with Mary and would maybe not do an accent wall, but keep all the walls the same and in a lighter color. And again, depending on which color you choose, I would maybe paint the ceiling white just to add more light and make it appear higher.
Light blues are my favorite for bathrooms. I find its so cheerful and very easily can get fun accents like red or neutrals. Have fun!
Hmmm...I would do the walls in a DARK blue and the ceiling a "sky" blue. Then use bright green accents. The dark color will make the walls "Disappear" and the light blue ceiling will make it look higher. Do all of the trim semi-glass white.
Glue wood (shiplap on one wall horizontally. It will make it look bigger Wider. Paint that white and use a distressed look. I usually stain the wood before putting it up and then rub candle wax on the edges and some places on the surface where you do not want paint to stick. Then paint with semi-gloss paint. When it dries you just wipe off the edges and candle wax areas with a piece sandpaper. Almost no elbow grease needed. Paint your other walls before putting the shiplap on. Paint the other walls a bright charchuese. Leave your ceilings white. You never want to paint them a different color. Good luck and have fun.
