What do duvet clips look like and do they work well?

    I've tried a variety of clips and none of them hold the test of time and tugging. The one thing that DOES work is Martha Stewart's "trick": Sew ribbon, sturdy seam binding, or even shoelaces (my idea, not Martha's) into the inside seams of your duvet. Grab tufts of your comforter -- especially the corners -- and tie it TIGHT. That really does the trick for me and lasts the winter. My latest duvet cover actually had those built in!
