Part of a figure is separated from the old rubber-like glue. Now I need to glue it again, but how??
Someone told me to cut cardboard in pieces, stick in and glue with elmers glue
I'd like your advice. What kind of glue is the best for his?? Should I make a paste with the cardboard and the glue?
I need to glue the terra cota to each other. Thank you!

I use gorilla glue sometimes, I make tables and stands with very large pots and saucers, then other times I will use hard as nails, something gooey. Clay pots are very porous so thicker can be better just not to much. Make sure you put something heavy on it keep it together while it drys. Wipe off any drips quickly with a damp cloth.

I hope this works for you

Cardboard torn up in little pieces is like the sand and glue mix, I have used both methods mostly with very heavy pieces. It's like concrete.

I have found out through the years E6000 is great for indoors not so much outside in the heat, it will lose it's grip. I have a big terracotta table I made about 20 years ago, it has been outside in the weather all that time , never lost it's grip. Lived in Florida for many of those years. Hard as nails or a professional adhesive for say, clay roof tile will hold way better outside. If this is an inside project the brown gorilla glue works best for me.

We use Eco 6000. You have to hold it together for a while but it will hold even outside

E6000 glues anything to anything and pretty much lasts forever

E6000 Is what I use for everything I don't want to come apart. Sometimes I sand it a little (the two parts going together) before gluing.
