Christmas Tree Card Holder From and Old Rake

I've never had a really great spot to display my greeting cards at the holidays. But now I do! I sawed the handle off an old rake and turned it into a Christmas tree by adding a few simple embellishments. Then I used to it hang my cards from with some red and white baker's twine. You can see more about the project on the blog.
This card was perfect to perch on the rake-tree with a small clothespin.
I used baker's twine to hang my cards from the rake in staggering lengths
Small lights were strung on the tree with twine

Very cute! My husband will never miss the rake! He just waits for big wind to blow all the leaves into the neighbors yard anyway:)

Adorable! I knew there was something I could do with that old rake we don't use anymore. Thank you =)
