Milk. Dab with cotton ball til saturated then blot with white towel. Repeat several times then use a dab of soap. Rub in. Dab with milk. When gone , wet towel with water and rub to remove milk and soap. You have to be patient but it works. Have gotten ink out of clothes, even my couch with this method.

Rubbing alcohol is what I use also. Always works, even on a cotton shirt.

Make sure the hairspray is aerosal! Son had an ink pen leak in pocket of new cargo shorts....put paper towels under and in pocket. Sprayed and blotted until it was completely gone, then washed....not a spec of ink left. Rubbing alcohol is great for getting out paint!

I learned from the alterations department of a clothing store (where I worked) to always put something under the stain before blotting to absorb the stain. You can use paper towels as Rita mentioned or scrap cotton fabric. I have used the stain removers listed above, but I found Carbona at the big box fabric store like Hancock's or Jo-Ann's and they make stain remover for specific stains (ink, crayons, grease, etc.).
