Rustoleum spray paint for metal comes in a large variety of metal colors and finishes.
Make sure is washed nad dried. You could wipe it down with steel wool or a scub pad, but metal spray paint with primer works fine on clean surface. It will look wonderful.
Yup! Make sure that you clean the surface first, share pics when you're done!
Thank you all for the info! and the confidence to try this! I'll post a before and after pic if I can figure out how to do that!
I did this same thing fifty years ago. I bought silver leaf from an art supply store. It came in sheets lke gold leaf does. I sprayed on the adhesive and applied the metalic squares and made them conform to the shapes with an artist brush. I sprayed on a sealer. My fifty year old fixture looks like the day I did it and the result is a metalic, rather than a painted finish.
That's impressive!
I had a brass headboard and I used hammered metal spray paint, it looked great. So yes I'm sure you can paint your chandelier as well.
Chalk paint works well over brass.
