Blown is one of the cheaper installs compaired toIsocene spray-on , many store will loan you the blown if you buy a house worth of insulation. The Evironmental Protection Agency has recently posted a site with lots of information about spray polyurethane foam, including health hazards, how to avoid exposure, best practices for installation.

Anyone considering this product should check this site beforehand. Also check to make sure ...»

    your installer follows recommended precautions.

The initial cost of using spray foam insulation is more than conventional insulation, however the savings offset the costs by far. It can cost 1.25- 2.25$ per Sq ft. The savings repay the initial costs by around 3-5 years, depending on the amount of insulation used. Initial Isocen cost for you, broadly, would be $4200. I have seen Home Depot installing blown in insulation for around a $1 per Sq ft, or $2400 for your place A difference of $1800. This is based on online, unverified info.
