WINTER MUSINGS OF SPRING GARDENS

Zee
by Zee
In my part of this beautiful world, I get little down time from gardening. Winter is rarely cold enough to halt yard work, but occasionally Mother Nature gives me a little respite. During these times, I reflect on how in the coming Spring I will buy less seeds, less plants and thus plant less. Alas, I am never true to this self made promise and have already been fondling seed packets. Playing in the dirt is just so soul soothing.....
No swinging today.
A peaceful sleep.
Waiting for spring Jasmine.
What I do best.

Zee... after reading ur post and seeing your pictures.. I love gardening too. I live in the Northeast with a bit of winter left. Just thinking of gardening helps .

@Donna Yes, I make the mistake of looking at pictures of my garden during its "healthy" phase. I get inspired and forget about the 105 degree temps which play havoc on my hard work. I envy you who live in more pleasant summer climates.

Zee, I too am saying I will buy less plants next spring and spend more time in the beds. This year is the first time since living in this house that I hardly got outside to work in our flowerbeds. It's just the way my life went this year. However, I'm looking SO forward to getting out as soon as I can to begin cleaning up beds and getting ready for more time to enjoy our flowers all summer.

@Margie*Lee There is definitely good therapy working in a garden. Sometimes, my friends think I am over "therapyized":-)
